Jane Van De Velde, DNP, RN, President, leads The Reiki Share Project with her vision for sharing Reiki with others. A registered nurse with over thirty years of experience in geriatrics, home care, hospice, program management and continuing education, Jane holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University in Chicago. Jane began her Reiki journey in 2003 and is a Reiki Master Teacher and a Karuna Reiki Master. Her experience with Reiki includes offering private sessions to clients, developing Reiki curriculum, teaching all levels of Reiki classes, giving community presentations and writing articles about Reiki for publication.

Jim Van De Velde, Treasurer, oversees the financial management of The Reiki Share Project. A retired private business owner, Jim brings a wide array of expertise to the organization including accounting, human resources, database management and computer programming. He is active in a number of community organizations and theatres and sits on two local school boards. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Marquette University. He has taken several Reiki classes and uses Reiki for self-treatment.

 

Susan Reedy Williams, Board Member, is a partner in the law firm of Faermark & Williams, LLC in Lombard, Illinois. Her practice includes representation of individuals in estate planning, probate and trust administration, closely-held businesses, not-for-profit corporations and real estate. Education:  University of Illinois (BA, 1982); Loyola School of Law (J.D., 1985); Registered Certified Public Accountant (1982).  Susan is married and has three children, one of whom is a Type I Diabetic. Currently Susan volunteers her time at her son’s school serving on various committees. She also sings with a contemporary music ensemble at her parish church. Susan has taken a Level I Reiki Class and strives to incorporate her Reiki practice into her daily routine as a working mom and caregiver to her child with diabetes.

Gloria Ciaccio, Board Member, has worked in non-profit, corporate and agency public relations for over thirty years, including WBEZ-FM radio, The Office of Community Arts Partnerships at Columbia College, Burson-Marsteller Public Relations, Radio City Music Hall and currently Chicago Botanic Garden.  She is an avid gardener and has taken several Reiki classes.  She uses Reiki daily for self-treatment and seasonally to bless her flower and vegetable gardens.
